HARARE – THE death of veteran Zimbabwean opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, and the resignation of South African President, Jacob Zuma, caught global attention as evidenced by the buzz in social media.
Both events that had Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, WeChat and Tencent QQ buzzing occurred on Wednesday, arguably dominating even the Valentine’s Day, which was on the same day.

Coincidentally, Zuma announced his resignation, bringing an end to a political stalemate running for weeks.
Cyril Ramaphosa has since succeeded Zuma.
